ESLPod.com – English learning Podcast

Podcasts for learning English These Podcasts are aimed at students with intermediate and advanced English language skills who wish to improve their pronunciation and listening comprehension of spoken English. Those Podcasts present the american English.

Each audio recording usually consists of two parts: the first part discusses the topic of the podcast episode or presents a dialogue, and the second part presents the explanations of the words, expressions and idioms that were used in the first part. The first part is pronounced quite slowly, and the second part – in the usual pace.

Audio recordings and the text of the first part of the podcasts are FREE on the website. But you’ll be are asked to pay $10 a month for access to the text of the second part and additional materials for the 12 new podcasts. For $60 you can also get access to all the previous podcasts, for which you have to register on the website and pay for access via PayPal.

I’d like to remind you once again that access to the audio recordings on this website is completely free. The Podcast narrator speaks quite slow, and you won’t basically need any texts if you have an average level of English knowledge.

There are 775 episode recordings available on the website (as of January 2010).
